Effective September 28, 2009, with the legislatures’ passage of House Bill 2436 we are required to collect an additional $15.00 for each recorded document. This fee is for Low Income Housing and will be forwarded on to the Oregon Dept. of Revenue for that purpose. With the addition of this fee, the basic fee for recording a one page document in Harney County will be $36.00.  The fee for each additional page will continue to be $5.00.

• The ONLY documents Exempt from this fee are the following:
• Any document recorded by the Oregon Dept. of Revenue
• Oregon Employment Dept. Warrants
• Certified Copies of Judgments and Satisfactions
• Lien Record Abstracts
• Any Satisfaction, Release, Assignment, or Extension of the above documents
• Affidavits of Annual Compliance (Mining)

AS PER ORS 111.075: Jurisdiction of all Probate matters, causes and proceedings is vested in the County Courts of Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Malheur, Sherman and Wheeler Counties, and in the Circuit Courts of all other Counties.
