Job Opportunity: Harney County Fairgrounds Manager

  • POSITION OVERVIEW:      Under the supervision of the Harney County Fair Board, the Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the fairgrounds, including the direct supervision of all personnel associated with operation of the fairgrounds. This position follows Fair Board policy, Harney County, State, and Federal regulations and advises the Fair Board with regard to such, as they apply to operation of the fairgrounds. The Manager will develop and recommend an annual budget to the Fair Board and will administer the budget within the parameters adopted by the County Court.   • Season Pass:   Youth and Seniors $20, Adults $25
  • Veterans Day:  Free Saturday, September 10
  • Sunday is Family Day:  Family of 4 is $20, $5 more covers all additional children

Tickets can be purchased at:  A Parts Store, Harney County Chamber of Commerce, and The Fair Office


The Horse Roping will start at approximately 3 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  It is a “ride in entry” .  Check with the secretary, ride in and do your thing.  There will be NO pre-entries as Glenn Shelley will be in Alaska, and NOT answering his phone.
